AU-SYSTEM LAUNCHES WAP 1.2 COMPLIANT WAP BROWSER. GSM World Congress, CANNES, FRANCE, February 2., 2000 - AU-System AB announced today a WAP 1.2 compliant version of the companys WAP Browser. The release makes it possible for handheld terminal suppliers to immediately offer WAP 1.2 functionality with the benefit of a customised look-and-feel. The browser embraces a broad range of features such as WTLS and WTA.
The WAP Browser is based on a generic component design, making it easy to adapt to different types of wireless terminals for all major digital transmission standards, mobile handsets, PDAs, and other handheld devices. It is equally flexible when working with multiple operating environments. AU-System currently offers adapted versions for Windows CE, Palm OS and EPOC as well as various embedded systems.
