Landstar System Partners with PhoneOnline.com To Develop Wireless Data Solutions for Transportation/Logistics Industry Jacksonville, FL., (April 4, 2000) - Landstar System, Inc., (NASDAQ: LSTR) a safety-first transportation services company, and PhoneOnline.com a leading wireless software development and professional services firm, today announced a strategic partnership to develop WAP-based wireless data solutions for Landstars 8,000+ member business network. The companies will leverage Nokias WAP-platform as the cornerstone of the new service.
Landstar, a recognized leader in developing cost-effective methods of freight information services, is the first transportation services company to announce plans to offer WAP-based wireless options for the transportation/logistics industry, according to industry sources.

Landstar and PhoneOnline.com have agreed to use Nokias WAP Server, which is an open software platform that enables connectivity to a companys information assets.
