Condat Joins WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) Forum Condat AG - The M-Business� Company provides WAP Infrastructure Solutions Berlin, September 21, 2000 - Condat AG announced its membership in the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Forum, an industry association that has been developing a worldwide specification enabling access to Internet-based services via wireless devices. Maintaining its involvement in developing existing and future standards, Condat emphasised its support for the Wireless Application Protocol. The WAP Forum and Condat have a common goal - to empower users of mobile devices to access and interact with all kind of information and applications, says Dimitrios J. Karadimas, Business Unit Manager for Wireless Applications.
WAP enabling Wireless Internet Dimitrios Karadimas explains, Condat as a wireless Internet enabler is active in providing wireless Internet infrastructure products which incorporate leading edge wireless technology like WAP. One of these product lines is Skyware, which allows access to any information sources using mobile devices - cellular phone, PDA, Pager etc. As a wireless middleware platform Skyware accesses data of different formats personalized for individual user profiles, compiles them and converts them into the proper format of the mobile device. Moreover the Skyware processes the relevant information and optimizes it in accordance with the personal needs of the user (customization), the location of the user (localization) and the technical capabilities of the respective mobile device. In addition Condat provides turnkey mobile solutions e.g. mobile portal services like Campus-Mobil, a special portal for universities.
