LPG Innovations Joins Oracle Wireless Partner Initiative Software company LPG Innovations chosen as a founding partner LPG Innovations today announced that it has joined the Oracle(R) (Nasdaq: ORCL) Wireless Partner Initiative. LPGs participation will enable LPGs WAPoffice(TM) to be utilized in Oracles wireless Internet middleware, Oracle9i(TM) Application Server Wireless Edition. LPG WAPoffice(TM) enables easy and quick access to basic office applications, such as electronic mail, directories and calendars, with any type of WAP terminal.
Our cooperation with a global information management leader such as Oracle opens whole new markets for LPG Innovations. Through Oracle, we are able to provide our products to the largest companies in the world. We also believe that LPG WAPoffice, being reliable and easily scalable, brings added value to Oracle9i AS Wireless Edition, comments LPG Innovations CEO, Mr. Pekka Kelkka.
We have designed Oracle9i AS Wireless Edition based on open standards for flexibility and easy partner integration, said Thomas Kurian, Oracle vice-president e-Business, Oracle9i AS Wireless Edition integrated with LPG WAPoffice will enable wireless users to access e-mail, scheduling and address book functions from the Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino environments.
Oracle recently launched its Oracle Wireless Partner Initiative to assist independent software vendors (ISVs), application service providers (ASPs) and system integrators (SIs) deploy wireless portals and Internet applications and services. Oracles wireless Internet software includes its market-leading Oracle9i AS Wireless Edition and a set of wireless development tools. The new initiative is part of the Oracle Partner Program.
