ELAL launches its WAP Service, developed by WEBTISS Technologies . Paris, November 16, 2000 EL AL, first national airline of Israel, launches its WAP service (http://wap.elal.co.il/) designed and developed by WEBTISS Technologies, a subsidiary of IT Link. Every WAP device user may now reach dynamic consultation of El Al offers and products. Architect of Mobile Internet Solutions, WEBTISS Technologies accompanied El Al all along this project thanks to its unique and wide technological know-how: from consulting in service conception to hosting and administration of the whole solution. This new service allows mobile users an Anywhere - Anytime dynamic consultation of El Al offers and products . Passengers services Availability The Availability service informs users about all available flights. It answers to a request based on arrival and departure places and flight details (single/return and fares). E-points For an optimised use of its services, El Al offers to its customers a personalised and lucrative access. A customer loyalty program allows users to collect e-points. Those e-points can then be spent, via a customisable WAP interface, on special offers. Schedule The Schedule service allows users to access flight schedules by specifying on their WAP phone the arrival and departure places. This service provides a list of all El Al existing flights. Arrivals/Departures Thanks to this service, customers are kept aware in real time of all accurate flight time-tables. All El Al flight arrival and departure times are automatically and regularly updated. Moreover, El Al WAP portal gives access to local and international news like economic or sport ones. Professional solution Cargo This Cargo service consists on real time tracking of parcels entrusted to El Al. From every WAP enabled phone, customers can be at anytime informed of the real location of their commodity. El Al brings to its customers a new high value added service by enabling an anywhere-anytime access to interactive offer consultation. Faced by Mobile Internet Access democratisation thanks to WAP devices, particularly in Israel, El Al gets on this subject through an easy and educational way by allowing free access to this new service on a WAP emulator for Web users.
