The collaborative agreement supports revenue generation for both parties, through the aggregation and distribution of Digital Avenue interactive entertainment applications. room33 and Digital Avenue will jointly co-ordinate the integration of the WAP games into the existing suite of mobile applications available in the room33 mobile portal solution, the Open Service Platform (OSPr33).
The agreement grants room33 a worldwide license to distribute and resell the entertainment applications as part of the room33 Open Service Platform. room33 will initially integrate 8 interactive games in its OSPr33 offering to enterprise clients, with a view to extending the range in the future. Digital Avenue is a leader in wireless entertainment content, said Huw Hampson-Jones, CEO, room33. By integrating the games into the room33 Open Service Platform, we offer an even more compelling one-stop solution for organisations looking to provide high-quality mobile Internet services to their customers.
Distribution of our mobile games in partnership with room33, will enable us to access a wider market through professional, integrated global distribution, said Colin Bower, CEO, Digital Avenue. As a core element of the partnership, it allows Digital Avenue and room33 to influence not only the way in which users access and pay for wireless entertainment products, but also the nature of the products themselves.
The ongoing agreement allows room33 to deliver a mix of wireless games incorporating sporting, fantasy and intellectual entertainment applications that support either single or multiple players. The initial games to be offered include Street Racer, Stock Trader, Star Striker, Black Jack, Kingpin Bowling, Quiz Challenge, Word Wizard and Outpost Island.
A selection of Digital Avenue WAP games is now available for members of the room33 portal, room33.com.
