WAP Demo Walking Tour at CTIA WIRELESS '99
The Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Forum cordially invites media and
analysts to attend a booth-to-booth walking tour on the show floor of CTIA WIRELESS '99 to
see the latest WAP demos and hear about WAP product rollout plans from top companies in
the wireless industry.

WHY: The tour will offer media and analysts a chance to interview executives of
manufacturers, software vendors and other companies about the forthcoming generation of
WAP-enabled products and services. During the tour, the WAP Forum will also discuss the
WAP roadmap for enabling Internet communications and advanced telephony services on all
wireless networks and devices in 1999 and beyond.

- Unwired Planet (now Phone.com) WAP demo includes wireless Internet browser over CDMA
network on mobile phones with information services and applications such as stocks, news,
and teleservices.
Lucent Technologies � Booth #3247
- Spyglass WAP demo will demonstrate using Spyglass Prism for the conversion of HTML
content into WML format for support of WAP compliant devices.
- Unwired Planet (now Phone.com) WAP demo includes wireless Internet browser over CDMA
network on mobile phones with information services and applications such as stocks, news,
and teleservices.

- Wireless unified messaging that utilizes a WAP browser to show integrated (voice, fax,
E-mail) mailbox inventory by sender ID (lists E-mail messages by sender E-mail address,
voice mail messages by CLI, etc.), provides intelligent notification, allows the user to
read E-mails on the handset display and other features and functions that take advantage
of the WAP browser's visual UI.
- The demo also includes provisioning of enhanced services � allowing the user to
provision various value added services using the visual interface and soft keys (i.e.
change password, etc.)

- Nokia will have one workstation focused on showing WAP.
- Nokia is showing an interactive presentation as well as their WAP SDK demo that
simulates WAP services. Some of the applications and services will include CNN content and
weather content from Weatherlabs.
